Scott Matthews was born on January 1, 1976. His home is in Spivey’s Corner, NC. Scott’s education includes being a graduate of Midway High School in 1994. His education also includes a B.S. in Animal Science from North Carolina State University in 1998. Education also includes being certified in Physical Education from Fayetteville State University in 2002. Scott is currently in his fifteenth year as a Physical Education teacher at Midway Elementary school in Dunn, NC. In 2014, Scott attended Mendenhall School of Auctioneering, to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming an Auctioneer. There, he was elected President of his class and received the award “Best All Around.” Scott’s awards in the Auction business include winning the Auctioneer’s Association of NC 2015 Rookie bid calling contest as well as the 2016 NC State Champion Contest. Scott is also the 2017 Big Peach Classic bid calling Champion, which is put

on by the Georgia Auctioneer’s Association. His memberships include the Auctioneer’s Association of NC and the National Auctioneer’s Association. Scott has worked in different Auction houses as a contract bid caller and has also enjoyed doing benefit and charity auctions. As well as doing auctions, he also is a bid calling instructor at the Mendenhall School of Auctioneering. When not auctioneering, Scott enjoys Shag dancing in North Myrtle Beach. He is married to Lauren Matthews, has an eight year old son named Ace, and an 11 month old son named Kane.
